What is LockScreenNotes?

LockScreenNotes is a free notes app that shows your notes in large type on your iPhone Lock Screen.

You made a note, but never looked at it again — and forgot anyway. LockScreenNotes fixes that by putting the note where you cannot miss it: the screen you see every time you pick up your phone.

Shopping lists, things to bring, today's tasks. Readable without unlocking, and you can tick them off right there.

What it does

• Easy to use

  Tap the note on your Lock Screen to open the app and jot down what matters. Everything auto-saves, so you can close it straight away and just focus on writing.

• Manage to-dos without opening the app

  Check items off right from the Lock Screen. Shopping lists, today's tasks — tick them off as you go.

• Over 100 designs

  All free. Pick one that matches your wallpaper, or set the paper colour, text colour, line style and font yourself.

• Doodle away

  Not just typing — handwrite your notes and scribble freely, like you would on a real sticky note.

• Add images

  Paste images from your photo library. Stick a photo of what you need to buy so you don't get the wrong one.

• Your notes are kept as history

  Past notes are saved so you can look back and edit any time. The history screen also shows your total character count, pages, and days used.

• No account, stored on your device

  No sign-up, no sign-in. Notes are stored on your device and are never sent to a server without your permission.

How it works

1. Open the app and write your note. It saves automatically, so you can close it straight away.
2. Turn on Lock Screen display.
3. That's it — the note is there every time you pick up your phone.

FAQ

Is it really free?

Yes. Completely free, with no in-app purchases, and no plans to charge in future.

Do I have to unlock my phone to read a note?

No. Notes appear on the Lock Screen itself, and you can tick checkboxes without unlocking.

Are my notes sent anywhere?

No. Notes are stored on your device and are never sent to a server without your permission. No account is required.

How is this different from the built-in iPhone features?

The built-in Reminders widget uses small text and does not suit longer notes or free-form layouts. LockScreenNotes is built around showing text large, and also handles handwriting and images.

Is there an Android version?

Not at the moment — LockScreenNotes is iPhone (iOS) only.
