LockScreenNotes Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") set forth the terms and conditions for using the iOS application "LockScreenNotes" (the "App") provided by the LockScreenNotes Developer (the "Developer"). By using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Article 1 (Overview of the App)

The App is an iOS application that allows users to create notes of things they don't want to forget and display them on the lock screen using the Live Activity feature.

Article 2 (Usage Fees)

The App is available free of charge. There are no in-app purchase features.

Article 3 (Data Storage and Management)

1. Note data created in the App is stored only within the user's device.
2. We do not store note content on our servers.
3. We do not provide backup functionality for data. The Developer assumes no responsibility for any data loss due to device failure, app deletion, or any other reason.
4. Users are responsible for managing their note data at their own risk.

Article 4 (Information We Collect)

1. For the purpose of improving the quality and analyzing the App, we collect the following information:
   • Usage statistics such as app launch counts and feature usage (using Mixpanel)
   • Device tokens necessary for delivering Live Activity push notifications (stored on Cloudflare)
2. The information mentioned in the preceding paragraph does not directly identify individuals.
3. We do not collect any personally identifiable information such as names, email addresses, or other information that can identify users.
4. The content of notes created in the App is not transmitted to us.

Article 5 (Prohibited Activities)

Users must not engage in the following activities when using the App:

1. Acts that violate laws or public order and morals
2. Acts related to criminal activities
3. Acts that interfere with the operation of the App
4. Acts that infringe on the rights of others
5. Acts of unauthorized modification, reverse engineering, decompilation, or disassembly of the App
6. Any other acts that the Developer deems inappropriate

Article 6 (Disclaimer)

1. The Developer makes no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, usefulness, safety, or any other aspect of the App's content, features, or operation.
2. The Developer assumes no responsibility for any damages arising from the use of the App.
3. The App uses iOS's Live Activity feature. The Developer assumes no responsibility if the App's features do not function properly due to iOS updates or changes in Apple's specifications.
4. The Developer assumes no responsibility for any damages arising from loss or corruption of note data.

Article 7 (Changes and Termination of Service)

1. The Developer may change, add, or discontinue the content of the App without prior notice to users.
2. The Developer may terminate the provision of the App without prior notice to users.
3. The Developer may discontinue the distribution of App updates without prior notice to users.

Article 8 (Changes to Terms of Service)

1. The Developer may change these Terms without prior notice to users if deemed necessary.
2. The revised Terms shall become effective at the time they are announced within the App or by the method designated by the Developer.
3. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Article 9 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

1. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.
2. In the event of any dispute arising from the App, the Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance.
